Install ChatGPT AI for Workspace
ChatGPT AI for Workspace works with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms. Install it once and use it in all four apps.Installation Steps (Same for All Apps)

Open your Google app
Open any of these apps:
- Google Docs
- Google Sheets
- Google Slides
- Google Forms

Install the add-on
- Click Extensions in the menu
- Select Get add-ons
- Search for “ChatGPT AI for Workspace”
- Click Install
- Grant the necessary permissions

Open ChatGPT AI for Workspace
- Click Extensions in the menu
- Select ChatGPT AI for Workspace
- Click 🚀 Launch GPT
- The sidebar will open on the right

Start using it
- Select any content in your app (text, cells, slide content, form questions)
- Type your request in the chat box
- The AI will process your request and show results in the chat panel

I don't see ChatGPT AI for Workspace in the add-ons list

Make sure you’re using the Google Workspace Marketplace:
- In your Google app, click Extensions → Get add-ons
- Search for “ChatGPT AI for Workspace” (not just “ChatGPT”)
- If you still don’t see it, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing
I'm getting a permission error
I'm getting a permission error
The app needs permission to access your documents:
- Click Grant permissions when prompted
- Allow access to read and modify your documents
- Allow display of content in sidebars
- Sign out and sign back in if the error persists

- Clear your browser cache
- Try a different browser
