# Troubleshooting

> Solve common issues with ChatGPT for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 apps. Installation problems, performance issues, and error messages.

## Common Issues & Solutions

### Installation Issues

**Problem: The app won't install**

Solutions:

1. Make sure you're using the correct marketplace:
   * Google Workspace: Google Workspace Marketplace (search for "ChatGPT for Google Workspace")
   * Microsoft 365: Microsoft AppSource (search for the specific app name)
2. Clear your browser cache and try again
3. Try a different browser

**Problem: I'm getting a permission error**

Solutions:

1. Click **Grant permissions** when prompted
2. Allow the app to:
   * Read and modify your documents
   * Display content in sidebars/panels
3. Sign out and sign back in
4. Reinstall the app if permissions were denied

**Problem: The app won't open after installation**

Solutions:

1. Refresh your browser or app
2. Sign out and sign back in
3. Clear your browser cache
4. Try a different browser
5. Restart your computer

### Feature Issues

**Problem: The generated results don't look right**

Solutions:

1. Be more specific in your request
2. Provide more context
3. Try regenerating to get different options
4. Review the result before inserting
5. Make manual edits if needed

**Problem: CoreGPT isn't generating what I want**

Solutions:

1. Be clearer about what you want:
   * Instead of "Make it better," try "Rewrite in a professional tone"
   * Instead of "Summarize," try "Summarize in 2-3 sentences"
2. Provide more context
3. Use examples to show what you want
4. Try regenerating multiple times

**Problem: The translation isn't accurate**

Solutions:

1. AI translations are good but not perfect
2. Always review translated content
3. Make manual edits as needed
4. For important documents, consider professional translation
5. Report issues to help us improve

**Problem: Formulas aren't working correctly**

Solutions:

1. Check that cell references are correct
2. Verify the data types match (numbers, text, dates)

### Error Messages

**"Permission Denied"**

This means the app doesn't have permission to access your document.

Solutions:
